That first taste of entrepreneurship set him on a path to explore new challenges, leading him next into the data communications industry with a focus on the former Soviet republics.
Isaac didn’t stop there. Over the years, he’s launched and scaled businesses in finance, commodities, technology, and Smart City solutions, always looking for the next opportunity to push boundaries. He’s developed a reputation for original thinking, bold strategies, and an uncanny knack for spotting—and shaping—new trends in business. Philanthropy has also become a significant part of his life. Simon Tao
Mr. Simon Tao is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in international trade and commodity management, specializing in the metals, mining, and energy sectors. He graduated from the English Department of Southeast University and has held various key positions within China’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, where he gained invaluable insight into global trade practices and economic policy.
With over 20 years of experience in the Chinese metals and mining market, Mr. Tao has developed a robust network across a wide range of industries, including non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, precious metals, small metals, agricultural products, and oil. He has built long-term partnerships with key players in the downstream buyer market and established trusted relationships with suppliers, shipping companies, and testing agencies in regions such as South America, Africa, and Central Asia.
In addition to his industry expertise, Mr. Tao brings a wealth of experience in international finance, ranging from World Bank loans to international factoring services, providing comprehensive support for the importation of commodities and the development of overseas resources. He has successfully overseen large-scale turnkey technical projects and managed the importation of bulk commodities such as chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, plastic pellets, and non-ferrous metals.
